Anni-VERVE-sary Spotlight Hop ~ Release Day!

Welcome back to the fourth and final day of our Anni-VERVE-sary Spotlight Hops!  It's an exciting day as there's new Verve in the store this morning! 2 beautiful new sets, 3 die sets and a sequin mix just released and they're all available to order right now. To celebrate our new release, we're putting on another blog hop!  If you've arrived from Stacey's blog, you are right on track!

Today's featured focus is designer's choice, so you might just sneak a peek at a whole bunch of must-haves!

Remember I told you I would show you the positive die cut of this Great Kindness flower on Friday?  Well, here it is!  I created this embossing paste background at the same time as Wednesday's card because I didn't want to waste any of that gorgeous pink paste!  A little goes a long way :)  The positive die cut of the flower was still on my work space so I threw it on the background and added a smaller vellum flower (embossed in white).  I die cut 4 "kindness" words, 3 in pink and one in silver and added part of one of the sentiments from the Kindness Matters set.  Now head over to Lesley's blog  for more inspiration!

Want to win some shiny new Verve? Today's prize is a BIG one. We'll be picking a random commenter on one of the hop spots below to win our ENTIRE new release! So be sure to leave a little comment on all the blogs below to increase your chances! Check out the Verve Blog today for the full hop list and all the prize info and deadlines!

Anni-VERVE-sary Spotlight Hop ~ Day 3

Welcome back to Day 3 of our Anni-VERVE-sary Spotlight Hops!  The Verve Divas and special guests are back for another day of spotlighting our new release! Everything previewed this week will be available to order in the Verve online store on Friday, August 26.  If you've arrived from Stacey's blog, you are right on track!

Today we're sharing our first projects featuring the Potter's Clay stamp set and coordinating, Pottery Die Set.

I couldn't wait to make a tag with this verse!  This Potter's Clay set is perfect for cards, bookmarks, and bible journalling.  I created a watercolour background by squishing versamark ink through a stencil and then embossing in white.  Then I watercoloured in blues and greens with my Zig markers and water.  I die cut two flowers from the set and added a few little strip bits from my scrap pile to create more texture.  Now head over to Lesley's blog for more inspiration!

Sending Hugs and Sunshine

Hello friends!  It's the 25th and I'm participating in PTI's Blog Hop.  Here's our inspiration photo...

I created a water colour background with my light carmine and ochre Zig pens then stenciled some embossing paste over top.  I stamped the sentiment directly onto the watercolour paper using my mini Misti and created a couple of butterflies with vellum overlays.  Thanks for stopping by and see you on the hop!

Anni-VERVE-sary Spotlight Hop ~ Day 2

Welcome back to Day 2 of our Anni-VERVE-sary Spotlight Hops!  The Verve Divas and special guests are back for another day of spotlighting our new release! Everything previewed this week will be available to order in the Verve online store on Friday, August 26. If you've arrived from Stacey's blog, you are right on track!

Today we're sharing our first projects featuring the Kindness Matters stamp set and coordinating, Great Kindness Die Set.

Julee has reworked those gorgeous flowers from the Great Friend set AND created dies for them!  HELLO!  I coloured some embossing paste pink with a red gelato and stencilled it onto some text patterned paper.  I used the largest flower die to create a negative space and then stamped the largest flower through it onto the grey card base.  Watch for the positive die cut of this flower on Friday {wink!}. Then I layered the other two flower sizes and created a sweet sentiment banner with Verve's Stitched Pennants Die Set.  Now head over to Lesley's blog  for more inspiration!

Just Because

Greetings friends!  Today's card is for this week's PTI Make it Monday challenge.  We are asked to make a tag using a cover plate for some interesting texture and detail.  Cara sent me some quatrefoil die cuts to try out (YES! I'm buying it on my next order!) so I had to use one for this challenge.  I really love this pattern.  Here's my tag before I covered it up with flowers die cuts (from Don't Forget to Write) and the sentiment panel.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day :)

Anni-VERVE-sary Spotlight Hop ~ Day 1

Welcome to the Anni-VERVE-sary Spotlight Hops! A new release is just around the corner and for the next couple of days we'll be shining our creative spotlights on the new Verve sets and dies releasing this Friday, August 26. If you've arrived from Stacey's blog, you are right on track!

Today we're sharing inspiration featuring the new Scripture Medley 4 compilation set. Check out the Verve Blog post today for more on this set and a little bit about our fabulous Guest Divas, Autumn Clark and Hillary Harris!

I am so excited when Julee consolidates plain janes into one set...it's so nice to have so many favourite stamps in one place :)  The word "grace" was one of my New Years mantras one year so I wanted to make a card with that glorious word.  Now head over to Marisa's blog for more inspiration!

Happy Birthday ~ Curtain Call Inspiration Reminder

Hey everyone!  Today's card is a reminder that you still have time to play in the Curtain Call Inspiration Flamingo challenge.

This card is very similar to the one I made for the start of this challenge (see it HERE).  I used different Flamingo paper (yes, I had TWO different types! LOL), added a half doily, and kept the same flowers and sentiment panel.

Want to play along?  Head over to the Curtain Call blog for more inspiration and then join in the fun! Thanks for stopping by!

Thank You

Hi friends!  Happy Friday!  My card today is for the current PTI Create Along with Us challenge.  I was inspired by the gorgeous colours and maple leaf die cut Danielle used below and on  THIS POST.

I'm thinking I need that Americano colour.  I used pure poppy stamped off once for the darker maple leaf.  I also snuck in a partial quatrefoil cover plate die cut courtesy of my fellow British Columbian, Cara.  She sent me some die cuts so I could test drive this particular cover plate and YES, I NEED this one...I love it!  Thanks, Cara!

I Simply Adore You ~ Viva La Verve

Happy Friday everyone!  I'm the hostess over on the Viva La Verve sketch challenge blog starting today so make sure you head over there for all the details on how you can play to win some Verve-y goodness at the end of the month!

I am well ahead of myself with this card.  It will be one of the many cards for our darling school secretary.  She's just the best and puts up with "my crazy."  I give her several cards and gifts throughout the school year to show her my appreciation.

Have a great start to your weekend and be sure to check out this latest challenge over on the Viva La Verve sketch challenge blog.

Happy Birthday ~ Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge

Happy Monday everyone!  I'm back with the newest challenge over on the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge blog.  This time we’re inspired by this photo…

How fun are flamingos?  I love that they are trendy at the moment.  I even bought a stuffed one for my granddaugter.  She calls him (or her?) Pinky :)  I had this fun paper scrap from the Dear Lizzy Fine & Dandy paper pad and it just makes me smile.  Unfortunately there was only one sheet in the pad :(  I'm also using my new PTI Just a Number set.  Is that die shape cool or what?!

Want to play along?  Head over to the Curtain Call blog for more inspiration and then join in the fun! Thanks for stopping by!

No Great Story Starts with Salad

Hi friends!  This quote cracks me up every time!  I make wine cards for my sister's wine store and love using this one...a favourite all round.  Today's card is for PTI's Make it Monday challenge this week.  We are asked to use a sentiment strip to ground the card.  I took inspiration from Erin's card (the embossed stencil background) and a Valentine card I made for the dh last year...

beminemaureenplut

I snuck in some flowers to echo the embossed background I created with a PTI stencil and some embossing paste.  I added a "2016" from the Enclosed: Congrats stamp set.  I noticed that the years go up to 2024 in the set, the year I can retire!  Coincidence?! LOL

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by :)
